The Nomelan Cafeico line of peels is presented as an alternative to peels containing phenol (Nomelan Fenol).
Caffeic acid is a phenol derivative with antioxidant properties. It protects the cell’s DNA and has chemopreventive action. It also inhibits tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in the process of melanogenesis. It modulates immunological alterations and is an efffective antifungal agent:
- Hydroalcoholic solutions: pH 1.0 - 2.5
- Easy to use and quick treatment: 15 minutes.
- It's not unusual for patients to experience an itching or burning sensation during the application of this peel.
- The depth of the peel will depend on the number of coats, the presentation used and the sealing with retinol.
1. Cleanse skin thoroughly and protect sensitive areas with Silkses moisturizing skin protector.
2. Apply one coat of Nomelan Cafeico step 0 using a gauze soaked in the solution. Proceed evenly and quickly without rubbing and allow it to dry.
3. Apply coats (one at a time) of Nomelan Cafeico Light, Forte or Depigmenting, evenly and quickly, without rubbing.
- If needed, apply Nomelan Cafeico Forte focally on the lesion.
The number of coats will depend on skin type / thickness and the planned endpoint. The depth of the effect will depend on the number of coats.
- In light skin (phototypes I-III), 2 to 4 coats are recommended.
- In dark skin (phototypes IV-VI), do not apply more than 2 coats in the first session.
4. Seal the treatment with Retises Forte and allow to act for approximately 8-10 hours.
5. Hand out a post-treatment kit to the patient.
